Naging matagumpay ang partisipasyon ng UP Diliman Gender Office sa Asian Studies Association of Australia (ASAA) Conference na ginanap noong Hulyo 5-8, 2022 sa Monash University sa Clayton Campus na may temang “Social Justice in Pandemic Times”. Nakiisa sina Coordinator Kristel May Gomez-Magdaraog at Guidance Specialist Anna Villanueva sa kumperensya sa Australia samantalang nakiisa sina Research and Publications Officer Stephanie Andaya at Gender and Development Officer Cindy Cruz-Cabrera via Zoom upang mabuo ang panel ng UPDGO na may titulong “Gender Responsiveness in the time of Covid-19: The University of the Philippines Diliman Gender Office Experience”. Ang ASAA Conference ay ginaganap dalawang beses sa isang taon. Si Associate Professor Sharyn Davies ang convenor samantalang kapwa hosts ang Monash University at ang Herb Feith Engagement Centre. Hitik sa iba’t ibang aktibidad at gawain ang nasabing kumperensya gaya ng paglulunsad ng mga libro, roundtable discussions at workshop, webinars, ang plenaryo ng presentasyon ng mga papel, at iba pa. Ito ay isa sa mga pinakamalaking pagsasama-sama ng mga eksperto sa Asya at karatig na rehiyon. Pinangunahan ni Kristel May Gomez-Magdaraog ang panel sa kanyang papel na “Gender Mainstreaming in the University of the Philippines Diliman: The Covid-19 Pandemic Era”. Sinundan ito ng papel ni Guidance Specialist Anna Villanueva na pinamagatang “Gender-Based Violence: A Protocol for the University of the Philippines as an Urgent Response in the Time of Covid-19 Pandemic.” Ibinahagi naman ni Gender and Development Officer ang kanyang papel na may titulong “A Collaborative and Consultative Research Process towards Gender Mainstreaming Frameworks and Mechanisms in the COVID-19 Pandemic Context at the University of the Philippines Diliman” at ang panghuli ay ang “Isang Dede-kasyon: A Study on the Experiences Breastfeeding Staff, REPS, and Faculty of UP Diliman” ni Research and Publications Officer Stephanie Andaya. Pagbati sa UPDGO sa matagumpay na pagbabahagi ng karanasan nito sa gawaing pangkasarian sa panahon ng Covid-19 Pandemic.
Isinagawa ng UP Diliman Gender Office ang ikaapat na pagpupulong para sa UP Diliman GAD Agenda Planning and Development Series kahapon (June 23, 2022), kung saan nagtalakayan ang UP Diliman GAD Agenda Core Group tungo sa pagbuo ng GAD Strategic Plan para sa tatlo (3) sa anim (6) na iminungkahing GAD Goals na nilalaman ng GAD Agenda. Ang session ay pinangunahan ni UPDGO Coordinator Bb. Kristel Gomez-Magdaraog, habang ang mga workshop ay pinangunahan ni Gender and Development Officer Cindy Cruz-Cabrera, GAD Associate Gwyneth Meneses, at Guidance Services Specialist/Guidance Counselor Anna Villanueva. Dumalo din at nakilahok ang Emergency Crisis Counselor na si Tish Vito Cruz, Administrative Assistant na si Connie Marquina, at ang Campaign and Advocacy Officer na si Rej Duka. Ang iminungkahing GAD Agenda ay dapat iharap ng GAD Agenda Core Group sa panahon ng UP Diliman GAD Summit sa Hulyo 2022. Maraming salamat gaya ng dati sa GAD Agenda Core Group, na binubuo ng mga miyembro ng GAD Committee mula sa mga sumusunod na unit ng UP Diliman: Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA), Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA), Office ng Vice Chancellor for Research and Development (OVCRD), National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development (NISMED), School of Statistics, University Library, Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH), Office of Student Housing (OSH), at ang UP Integrated School (UPIS)
The UP Diliman Gender Office along with the GAD Committee Members held the 11th UP Diliman Gender and Development (GAD) Summit last December 6, 2021 (Monday) from 8:30AM to 12:00PM. A venue for educational discussions on gender, GAD work, and GAD accomplishment reporting, the UP Diliman GAD Summits are hosted by the UPDGO for the GAD Committees of all colleges and units across UP Diliman.
Ang kasalukuyang Gawad Kasarian ay kumikilala sa kahusayan at dedikasyon ng gender and development o GAD committee sa pangunguna sa gender mainstreaming sa kani-kanilang mga kolehiyo, opisina, yunit at mga organisasyon. Ang mga GAD committee ang pangunahing katuwang ng UP Diliman Gender Office sa pagsusulong ng kagalingan at karapatan ng kababaihan, LGBTQIA+ at kalalakihan sa loob at labas ng UP Diliman. Ang unang pormal na seremonya ng Gawad Kasarian ay nagbigay ng pagkilala sa tatlong kategorya noong 2021, ang: Gawad Kasarian Natatanging Indibidwal Natatanging Institusyon Sa ikalawang Gawad Kasarian, magkakaroon ng GAD Breakthrough Activity. Ito ay pagkilala sa mga proyekto, aktibidad at programa na nagbigay ng impact, nagpakilala ng mga bagong konsepto at ideya, at naging matagumpay sa paglalapat ng malay-na-kasariang lente sa kanilang mga mandato. Bilang pagkilala sa aktibong partisipasyon ng mga mag-aaral sa gawaing GAD, isinama ang Natatanging Student Organization bilang kategorya ng Gawad Kasarian. Ang mga ginawaran sa taong ito ay ang Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, UP Diliman (OVCAA) bilang GAWAD KASARIAN 2022, ang UP School of Statistics bilang NATATANGING INSTITUSYON, ang UP Diliman University Student Council – NATATANGING STUDENT ORGANIZATION, si Kerima Lorena Tariman bilang NATATANGING INDIBIDWAL, at ang UP School of Statistics at University Student Council, kapwa ginawaran bilang BREAKTHROUGH ACTIVITY.
